Hello all,
I've recently "remembered" my past and have dug out my old treasures that I've stored and half-forgotten for some 18 years now.
Starting with a Commodore 64 in 1987 as my first computer at the age of 8, I moved to Amiga (500) in 1989. Upgraded the '500 with a GVP Impact Series II HD8+ (110MB HD, plus 2MB Fast RAM) in 90 or 91 (that I somehow managed to get overseas while on a trip with the family) and was coolest on the block for a moment.
Got an Amiga 1200 in 93 that I didn't expand back then except with a HDD.
I learnt programming mainly on the Amigas, starting with AMOS but quickly moving to assembler and C. That shaped me and provided a foundation when moving on.
I've since some months dug out the Amigas, expanding with A1200 with a 030 blizzard card, networked it and put some other things in such as 2x CF cards and a flicker fixer. The Amiga 500 I'm restoring and contemplating to upgrade a bit as well.
Time is my currency, work and other parts of life take a lot of my time these days.
Well that's it for me, hope to find some nice friends in similar situations as me on the forum!
Best Regards,
Chris
