Nice to see you! I've been an Amiga user since the 90s, although spent a lot of time off.

I got an A600 for Christmas in 1993 and used it for gaming, coding, graphics, music and school work (basically everything) for about four years until I reluctantly upgraded to a PC just before going to university.

After discovering the world of eBay in the early 00s I started looking into acquiring all those things I couldn't have when I was younger, and indulged my retro computing passion. I obtained an A2000 and A1200 although money problems and real life meant that these got sold on.

Fast-forward to 2018 and I'm a bit more grown-up, a bit more settled down and have a very tiny amount more money so I invested in a CD32 and a TF330 (I had discovered the delights of modern hardware!). I also joined the newly-resurrected South West Amiga Group (SWAG). That's where my passion started to become an obsession!

I obtained a Furia accelerator for my A600 and was lucky enough to win a refurbished A500 in a raffle at SWAG just as the PiStorm was becoming generally available. I had also obtained a second hand Checkmate case with the intention of putting a poorly A500 board in after I'd had it fixed up. However a surprise local purchase of a really nice A600, the Furia clearly not liking being in a standard A600 case and the advent of the PiStorm 600 meant a little musical chairs put my childhood A600 in to the case, leaving me with a second A600 for the PiStorm.

You'd think I would be done there, wouldn't you? And for a short while I was. But then I had an offer on an A1200 that I couldn't turn down, quickly followed by an even better offer on an A4000 that was clearly my best chance to own one of these fantastic beasts at a reasonable price. Both machines added to the collection (followed by offloading of a load of other things I'd been hoarding to pay for it!) and I have since added the odd modern upgrade to each, as you do.

Finally, I recently added an A1500 to my collection for a good price and am in the process of upgrading that. I regret selling the A2000 I had twenty years ago for a fraction of what I paid for it, but that's the way it goes.

EDIT: I also obtained an NTSC A1000 earlier this year to which I have added a Parceiro II interface

Question is now, do I try and complete the set? The A500+ and CDTV aren't tricky to get hold of (especially if you have a casual relationship with money) but I think I'll wait until I am able to bag an A3000 without my wife divorcing me before I try for those!

Aside from my rabid hardware obsession, I've been trying to re-learn Blitz Basic and also getting to grips with 68K programming. I'm a developer in my day job, and the tools available for Amiga dev are the same I used to build websites. The only thing I don't have is enough time (although I seem to have had enough time to write this instead of doing my day job!!)
