Just want to introduce myself.

I grew up with Commodore systems, including the VIC-20, C64, C128, and Amiga 1000. Unfortunately, my folks lost all of our systems in a storage unit in the 90's :(

I recently decided that I wanted to get an Amiga; so I purchased an Amiga 2500. It came with 4MB RAM, Video Toaster, G-Force 030 @ 25Mhz, 2x SCSI Hard Drives (40MB and 50MB), a single 3.5" Floppy Drive, and Keyboard (no mouse or monitor)

I also bought an original 'tank' mouse (and a set of replacement switches for it), an Epyx 500XJ Joystick (Just like I had growing up), and replaced the floppy drive with a Gotek. I recently ordered a pair of bridgeboards off eBay (I hope they work :) They are an A28088XT Rev 4 and an A2286AT rev 6 with sandwich board rev 5.

Currently, I am only able to use it via grayscale composite video, but I hope to get a Picasso IV or an Indivision ECS Scandoubler / Flicker Fixer (Internal). I haven't fully decided yet. I am also considering just getting a Commodore monitor such as a 1084-D to use the native RGB.

So far my project has proven to be a rewarding hobby that brings back many memories of my childhood. I've been lucky so far that the only defective item I received was the mouse, and I know how to solder so I can replace the defective switch easily enough.

Welcome! Sounds like you're well into it :D
