Euh... as in typical Amiga style, we want multiple projects doing (almost) the same thing in stead of joining efforts? I'm referring to A4000+ Alice.

That is a CR design not the one that I am having done for one. An the other issue is its very much a closed project from what I have been told and have seen. This is fully open and will be available for anyone to use the files. You wont have to go through anyone other than the PCB fab you decide on.

1. It's unclear if the Alice boards will be available to others in any form (sold as PCBs, or complete boards etc..) EDIT: See below hese's comments, looks like good news, but still this is Rev B instead of CR design..

2. 99% of all Amiga 4000 boards are Rev B (not CR) and there are considerable layout differences. With Rev B. PCBs, those who have the skills can even move components from battery damaged (dead) boards to a new one, having an (almost) new working motherboard on the cheap.

3. This project is fully open so ANYONE can build the boards

Why, as an end user, would I even care which rev it is? Not criticising, sincerely trying to understand...

The A4000+ Alice project files will be released public once my spare PCBs are sold.

But thanks for jumping to conclusion Acill when I haven't been online.

If you are just looking for a new board, then you don't need to care much. (Even though there are some differences, the CR can have on-board CPU (no need CPU card) if you are happy with stock 030 speed, and on-board chip-RAM)

BUT if you are trying to re-transplant components from a dead battery damaged board, then chances are (about 99%) that the old board is Rev B, so everything is 1:1 swap to the new PCB without much headache.

Not the case at all. I simply want to see the Rev B done professionally and have the opportunity to get that done. I applaud you for releasing your files! In the end we will have both versions out and that is a great thing! Not at all bad!!

Good news! I will be going to the shop on Wednesday to make the initial payment and have work started! The goal is to have the board work done and complete in 4 to 6 weeks. The goal is to recreate the entire design. They will provide everything they create, including the PADS and Altium design databases.
The donate page can be found here: https://www.gofundme.com/amiga-4000-replica-with-schematics
Also dont forget you can have Amiga on the Lake donate for you if you want to use paypal and dont have a card supported here.http://amigaonthelake.com/aotl-donations/

Today is a amazing update day for this project! I am happy to say that I put in the remaining balance myself to get things moving at the PCB design house. They have the original board to use, all the required information and the most important thing, they got paid! What this means is things have STARTED!!!!!!
The delivery items to us are even better now thanks to the significant speed at which we paid them, and the extra work I did to supply as much as possible to help with the creation of everything. So what will we get you may ask? Well EVERYTHING!!! The project databases in Altium, PADs and hold on......EAGLE!!!! All Gerber's, new matching schematics that go with the new layout done in tandem, BOM sheets, manufacturing guides, and things I missed I am sure. So this will allow us to not only get NEW BOARDS, but once I ahve it all organized and hosted someone can take these design files and improve on it or whatever you need!
I want to thank everyone that helped make this possible. It has been a lot of stress, work and back and forth communication with the design house, but I think in the end it will be an amazing achievement! This is a real first at this level for ANY Amiga community project and you should all be very proud! I know I am.

Aaaaand... It blasted over the 5k mark. Well done sir!

You may consider asking for more boards to be cloned :-) I would donate again for sure.

I plan to do the 1200 I think once this one is complete. Lets see how it goes. In the meantime Initial Github built. Nothing newly created added just yet, but will be adding things as they are released. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
