Hey guys,
Need some help if I may. I recently got a Amiga 1000 with a 1081 monitor and wanted to make up a SCART lead for it.
Don't need to worry about voltage or blanking as its going straight to the 1081.
I have an exiting one from years ago that works perfectly. I followed the guide from this site.
http://www.ianstedman.co.uk/Amiga/amiga_hacks/Amiga_SCART/amiga_scart.html

Basically just all connections are straight through except for composite sync which has a 330ohm resistor on it.
I get a picture but it is vertically scrolling. The picture that is onscreen is really nice so I have all the RGB lines correct I suspect.
I tried CSync with no resistor and got a scrolling, really dark image. I have checked my working cable with meter and it Csync looks like it is straight through.

What am I doing wrong? Any advise guys?

i'm no expert in amiga unfortunately , but silly question , is it possible to have some problem with ntsc / pal ? maybe amiga is pal and monitor ntsc? just guessing, otherwise try variable resistor instead of 330 on csync i and experiment a little with resistance there , could be it

Ntsc and pal would not be the issue. As stated I have a working cable so I know the monitor works fine.
I have tried resistance from 75ohm to 1.2k and still same issues.
I am sure it is something simple to do with c sync.

OK I have now sorted this stupid problem out. i feel a bit silly. I used a SCART to SCART cable and started converting one end to a DB23 connector.
What I did not realise is that pin 20 and 19 are swapped from one SCART connector to the other. So basically pin 20 was not connected to csync.
Connected the csync up and bam I have a rock solid image now.
Well that's what you get when SCART is never released in your country.
