Hi.
I got those from a long time already from Bangkok.
I know one (MPR) is for Dreamcast and the second cannot find anything about it....
Could be PS,PS2 and DREAMCAST or perhaps 3D0 only.
If anyone could fetch anything can make me happy.
Thank you

Alex

bonjour mon ami!

Well what I can say is that from your list this is more likely a dreamcast ASIC and mod-chip.

Playstation and PS1 do not use either of the above chips nor does the PS2 or 3DO - in fact the 3DO doesn't need any mod-chippery.

But to be honest while I offer my best educated guess, I could still be wrong on the mod-chip / PCB - it could be an early PS2.

Thanks a lot for your interest.
Any ideas how much is it worth?
The fact is I moved out of Thailand to France a long time ago with the Dreamcast and a PS1 at first and those chips but I owned a SNES and later on a PS2.
The Dreamcast and PS1 got stolen at my home by burglars but didn't take the 220V-->110V converter with them so I hope they plugged them straight on 220V and burned to hell....
I have a small memory bank in my brain and could not remember what the second chip is about but it is a modchip for sure.

Thanks mate for your help

Cheers

Alex

@kenshigros

No worries I like to help were I can, I am sure a fellow member will be along soon to confirm what these little beasties are.

In regards to "what its worth" sadly we can not give appraisals on AmiBay, we believe that an item is only worth what the buyer is willing to pay for it and what the seller is willing let it go for. When you get some time have a look at the rules and guidelines and this will explain the philosophy and reasons behind this rule.

Sorry to read about the loss of items, sadly burglaries leave a lot more than just loss items. My hope is that you can get back your collection.

First one looks like the DC BIOS chip. The 2nd one - I've actually seen a picture of a Dreamcast with one of those soldered over the BIOS chip.

(Not my picture):

Thank you

Thank you

A big thank you.
So they are both for DC after all.
They seem to be specific to version of DC (VA0,VA1...)
Since regulation here does not allow talking about price value I have to find out how much they worth...
Thanks again and this community is always the best and thanks to AMIBAY for that!!!
Bye
