I was in the process of building an A600.

I then notice a re-capped motherboard over on the other Bay.
The seller is known and has a good reputation for recapping.
So even though I should have pushed a bit more for info, I trusted the good feedback, the ratings on their website etc.

The board came and I am less than impressed!

The board needs from my brief inspection:

New keyboard ribbon clip, it is broken and melted!
A sonic clean, electrolyte is everywhere and IDE pins are green!
Possibly a new floppy power header as its melted!
A good overall inspection of the caps, one of them looks new but the pads look dull like an un-capped board!

I have not even bothered to test the board. The seller has blanked me. This board was done in 2022 and all I was told was the board was re-capped, cleaned and no damage!
it has bloc-lube on tracks and a capacitor is almost ready to fall off.

I require the services of somebody to re-work the board if this is possible? I have to somehow save this board and continue the build!

Sounds like the passion guy from Kent has struck again perhaps? 😬

Okay first off on here there is @hese who has his own thread for his repair services based over in Scandinavia. The guy is a repair god! Obviously very busy, so you may need to wait.

His thread here: https://www.amibay.com/threads/amig...nd-upgrade-service.93278/page-23#post-2533735

Closer to home in the U.K. Can recommend Ian @ Mutant Catterpillar. I don’t think he is a member on here?
