Hello :)

I came across this forum/page after doing a fairly extensive search for specific older computer items. I've got some older stuff but i'm kind of a packrat and usually just hold on to stuff until motivated to clean up to make room for something else. I am 36, been using computers since i was in grade school (old Apple II) and eventually bought my first computer back in 1993 after starting a paper route. Tandy Sensation! 25mhz, 4mb ram, 106.9mb IDE hdd, single-speed MPCd-rom, and 1200baud modem/2400baud fax. I still have it  The board died in it sometime in the last 10 years and amazingly enough, Ebay had a working board so i replaced it and happiness resumed. haha

Anyway, I'm here looking for an old 386/486 Case. I love vintage hardware but in this particular case i'm wanting to have a project to work on. I want to put new modern components in an older smaller mini-tower. Something that requires some actual thought/work.

I guess I should also say i'm into gaming of all types. I have quite few consoles. Atari 2600, Sega Master System, NES, SNES, N64, Game Cube, Wii, Xbox, PS4 Pro, Xbox One

I have also been back 'n forth gaming using a PC over the years. Built many PC's for myself and others but they've always been fairly straightforward builds. They might have taken me a day at best. Looking to get into doing custom stuff now for something to do in my free time as a project.

I do have an IBM PS/2 Ultimedia M57slc that is as far as i can tell, in original shape. Was given to me by my aunt. It was the first PC i had ever used and it's been sitting in my cabinet for 16 years untouched. I took it apart piece by piece and cleaned it all out and am about to reassemble it last week. It does work (tested prior to disassembly) but was VERY dusty. The power supply is all i have left to clean up.
