Hello everyone,
I'm Alexander and I come from the beautiful Sauerland and am now 41 years old. Since my brother is nine years older, I haven't had the pleasure of wearing out old clothes. But I had another big advantage: I could "use up" my brother's old hardware
It started with a Commodore 16 from ALDI, but not much remains from that time (apart from the games Mr. Puniverse and Big Mac, which was pretty cool). And then finally... a revelation for me at the time: The Amiga 500 (and later a Pentium 90 from the PC specialist). Unfortunately, at some point I sold the Amiga 500 with accessories and all of the original floppy disks. I don't know at what price...but certainly too cheap. The regret actually came later... namely when I was cleaning up and found a Turrican poster (the whole world is shown there) and a Competition Pro. Yes, a “new” Amiga was also needed. That was probably 10 years ago. Found on eBay with a box full of backup copies, a mouse and another Competition Pro. I was also able to gamble occasionally. Then a move and the Amiga 500 was safely packed again, together with a Commodore 16 which I was also worried about again (alongside a VC20 and a C64 which I basically never owned). Everything was stored in the attic and lost sight of again, until the Amiga Germany fanzine. Since then I've been really fired up and have the desire to "build up" a small, functional Amiga collection. I have 500, 500Plus, 600, 1200 and CD32 (recap done and batteries desoldered of course). Recently an Amiga 2000 was added, which I would like to equip with a turbo card. The classic cards are very expensive, as far as I've asked around in the fanzine group. There were the recommendations Terrible Fire, Pistorm and... last but not least: Dicke Olga (was recommended several times). I'm currently keeping an eye out for small suits, willhaben and eBay in the hope that one will be sold.
I hope that my idea wasn't too bad for you and I look forward to lots of interesting articles and information.
Best regards
Alex
