Hey guys im new here. Been a long time amiga and overall retro games / machines lover. I'm an IT tech which is a natural career progression for someone with my love of hardware and software but i firmly believe in the saying 'they dont make em like they used to' lol.

Just wanted to post and say hey anyways.... :)

Hi AmiNeo,

Theres some great people around here and i'm sure you'll have some fun.
Without trying to scare you, just be sure to familiarize with the rules as things are a little different round here than most other boards and the mods do keep a pretty tight ship.

Anyway Welcome to the board :)

Welcome AmiNeo :D
Nice to see there is yet another IT-Specialist that doesnt need intel-(heptacore-quadro with 2tb .001ns ram, to drag along an OS that is in betatesting for decades now) to enjoy out-of-office moments.

Grtz, PymerOne.

Right now i only have the A600 which i'm doing up. I have some fond childhood memories of the commodore systems, especially C64 / 128 / VIC20 and Amigas and missed my A600 sorely. I had a few of the C64 systems growing up from as young as 4. One or 2 of which was actually a VIC20, shame i dont still have them....
Will be looking to get a A1200 in the near future, maybe one that needs some work for a project.

As im sure a lot of you guys do, I'd like to keep Amiga alive for as long as possible. They're becoming rare now in any kind of 'running perfectly' state due to capacitor ages and general wear to electronics. I'm not an electrician but willing to learn as much as i can and as an IT Tech i feel its my duty to do my bit and try and restore anything i can afford to get hold of.

I have a feeling i'm gonna enjoy hanging around here.

Welcome, AmiNeo!

Lots to see and do here, too much to choose from! Really great people, though, with plenty of nice kit for you to fill up your desk (and shop and house and garage).
