I've got a load of Mac formatted Zip disks from my University and early Design jobs back in the 90's and decided I wanted to see what was on them. I don't however own any Macs. But I just discovered a nice little tool called HFSExplorer which works perfectly.

It managed to read all my Mac formatted Zip100 disks using a USB Zip drive, under Windows 10. And it allowed me to create .dmg disk images from them all to use in emulators. And also extract actual files from the disks into a Windows folder. Great for project files such as photoshop files.

So if you have any Mac formatted HDDs, Zip or other external drives then this should allow you to access the files in Windows or Linux (also supports OSX).

I'm certainly going to download that. It'll come in handy.

Thanks for the link. (y)
