Yet another old Amiga user joining the forum. I had a A500 back in the 90s and later got a A1200 that ended up with all sorts of upgrades (Micronik Infinitiv tower, Blizzard 060 @ 60MHz, Cybervision 64/3D, MultiFaceCard 3, Catweasel Buddha Mk2 and few HDs... you probably get the idea). Eventually, I sold that machine in '98 and pretty much stopped following what happen to Amiga since then apart from reading the "On the Edge: the Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore" book some years ago.
About two months ago a found myself in a small Amiga event at the local library where they had two A1200s setup for everyone to play with. After some chatting, it turns out one of the machines contained parts of the same A1200 I had sold 14 years earlier. What a coincidence!
After that event, I ended up searching about the current hardware situation and also found this forum. It was nice to find that internally installable flickerfixers have been developed since then so no more need for CRTs. Because emulators seem to lack something, I'm now looking on owning an Amiga once again.
