I've just joined this site solely because of my newly acquired Amiga CD32. Have been wanting one for a looong time and now things have finally worked out!
Back then I've had an Amiga 500 with sime artsy Special Edition design, with some colorful spheres on it. I also had loads of boxed games....wasn't a big fan of illegal copies, in spite of being in school and not having an income.
Around 2011 I decided to get back into retro gaming after just playing the current console systems, and luckily, I still had everything, never sold one bit. BUT....I sold or traded all Amiga and PC big box games and gave quite a few away for free, because I thought it prudent to establish a bit of focus - in my case, game consoles.
One big reason was that I distrusted those floppy disks, and while all those huge cardboard boxes certainly were something to look at, a line had to be drawn somewhere. I have over 30 consoles and there's simply no room for computer stuff on top of that.
Cue the Amiga CD32! I wasn't very interested in it back when it was new but now I'm hoping to scratch that intense Amiga itch I've been having.
I've been gathering a couple of games for it already but probably nothing too exciting. However I have just yesterday learned of one certain game that excites me A LOT, and it seems to be terribly expensive. I'm planning on making a thread about it, asking if its price really is as high as eBay would suggest, but all in due time.
So that's my story. I hope I'm welcome here nonetheless, in spite of being only interested in CD32 issues.
Oh, and I'm in Germany....certainly something that belongs in an introduction.
