I am the former newsletter editor for a popular west coast commodore users group.

I started with a commodore 64 in 1982. Upgraded to a c128, then the a1000. Purchased the a1000 pre-release and picked it up the day it was received at the dealer in downtown San Francisco.

I owned an a2000, set up to host amiga os, Mac, pc, and Unix. It was stolen from my workplace in the early 90s when I was trying to convince my peers to use it to manage emerging networks at the office.

I still have my a1000. I inherited 3 amigas from friends when I to NY. 2 amiga 500s, and an A1200.

I had not used any Amiga since the early 90s when my a2000 was stolen.

I'm retired now, after 40 years in the tech industry. I was very excited to find many active Amiga communities, new hardware and software.

I have learned about WinUAE, what I need to do with my Amigas to prevent damage from leaky capacitors, batteries, all the archives of software and the amazing hardware upgrades!

I have started updating my A1200. I added a CF card with an IDE adapter. I found a local shop that will do the recapping for me. I have been practicing setting up CF cards. I have purchased 3.2.2 and upgraded my CF card install. And much more.

My goal is to eventually upgrade all my Amigas. I am interested in creating a live presentation using all the Amigas. I will use various presentation software like Amigavision, Elan performer, and sequencers - MIDI to link in synths several Amps and speakers. This along with genlocks on each to pass through video from Amiga to Amiga. Hoping to produce high quality graphics, animation, audio that can be controlled by keyboard, joystick, or mouse across all machines.

Ambitious? Yes, but a really fun way for me to mix several generations of tech to create an interactive presentation that could only be produced on Amiga tech.
