Sup peeps.
So.... One day, many many moons ago, dad brought this mystery box home for his kid. I was so very disappointed for not getting a toy car or something instead of this stupid thing displaying blue box and some numbers and READY on our only TV. WTH is READY anyway, what does it want, what language is this? Can it play cartoons? No? Useless thing!!
Anyway, I was too young to appreciate what he had to go through just to bring this C64 into the country (you couldn't just walk into the store and buy a computer in ex-YU at the time) and completely unaware that moment would lead me onto the path I'm on today and turn computers into my professional career.
Later on, I was so amazed reading about Amiga computers in the magazines I just had to have one. A500+1084s was there to poke around with some time later and so was A1200+1942 almost immediately after the introduction.
I ended my Amiga story with A4000D/030+CV64/3D hooked up to the nice 19" screen, before moving on to the disgusting Wintel world. So yea, like many other people over here, I too have very fond memories of the machines I grew up with, and finally got the time and space to maybe try to rebuild a few of them.
Unfortunately, while at uni, my folks threw all my "old computer junk" out, so while I did obtain some parts here and there in the meantime, never up until now had the time, space or funds to try to rebuild a fully working system again.
Anyway, looking forward to maybe sell some of the stuff I don't need and buy some stuff to rebuild an Amiga or 3 or 33
