Got my first six-string (A500 Rev5) when it was introduced in DK in the late 80's and enjoyed it for several years.
Starting a career in a more PC-oriented job, it slowly got used less and ended up in storage with my C64 sometime around '95.
During my summer vacation this year, I decided to dust both of them off, and see what was working and what was not - after 30 years in storage...
My C64 was working fine, but the disk drive was dead - and that sparked an interest in learning to repair vintage electronics.
The A500 was starting, but the floppy was dead as well - I also had a MultiEvolution 500 drive, but sadly the SCSI disk was not working.
I decided to give both machines an overhaul and upgrade to stuff I only dreamed of when I was younger.
At this time I have A500 Rev 5, Rev 6A and Rev 8 - and an A2000 Rev 6.2 that I am trying to restore as well.
I have 4 different C64 variants and a 128D (non CR version).
