Just introducing myself to follow the rules. Amiga 1200 was the best thing since sliced bread, at the time. And it helped me start my career and get my dream jobs.

For the past 2 decades I've been looking from the outside and it's sad to see the same dumb greed and fights over ancient intellectual property.

I don't believe anymore that any business will somehow resurrect the Amiga. Look, I'm sorry, that's just my opinion, don't hate me for it.

The only reason Amiga survives is because of some very talented and dedicated individuals, including the people doing the development work and those who continue to buy the products. Those individuals are getting older and finding better priorities in life. For me, ARM is the new Amiga, a cheap yet powerful piece of hardware with a growing and massive community behind it. I'm not talking about RasPi, even though I think they deserve a lot credit.

Oh, look, I'm sorry, this wasn't supposed to be a rant. Anyway, I've just got the new P96 2.4 driver so I'm going to check it out.

Welcome! I’m also not loving the Pi (Linux, baggage) but like ARM. Any suggestions?

Welcome!
Amiga is kept alive through the community and all the new projects that are popping up. There seems to be loads of "new" hardware out there and some quality games releases which is nice.
There also seems to be a few meetups happening now too, with Amiga Retro Brisbane having regular monthlies now. I see there's talk of the Perth group wanting to start a meet up but I don't think it's progressed very far as yet though.
