Just stumbled across this community while going through old equipment I've kept over the years, seeing if any of it is still talked about. I mostly missed the early days of PCs, getting into the hobby (and profession) mostly in the late 80s and early 90s. I've had the pleasure of experiencing dial up BBSs and running up long-distance charges. I had a chance to actually play with Teletext in the UK during a brief visit in the early 90's and absolutely loved it. Since I chose computers as a profession as well, I've had opportunities to work on all sorts of stuff...from old PS/2s to even older VIC20's and 8088's. There is a lot of nostalgia for the boot up sequence of an old 286 for me in particular. I do wish I kept a lot more of the equipment I had. In particular those car battery sized hard drives. What is your favorite piece of hardware or software from the past?
