Hi folks. I was introduced to Amigas and other retro through the Demoscene. My undergraduate university's computer club ran a demo night once a year using almost all original hardware. It still runs as the Demosplash event. I picked up an Amiga 1200 about six years ago (as well as a Commodore 64C and a NeXTstation Turbo Color). I bought a GBS-8220 to handle the video conversion, but never got around to wiring it up or setting up the hard drive.
Over New Years I ran across the 1200 again and decided it was well past time! So it's setup and running now with a CF card. I'm going to mod the GBS-8220 with GBS Control. There are some TBL demos and others which require a 68060 so I plan on picking up a TF1260 and rev6 during this year. I've moved to the UK and as far as I know no-one in Cardiff does demo shows, so I'll start at Cardiff Unversity showing off what these platforms can do!
