It’s great to join the community here at Amibay!
I’m interested in PC hardware and software dating from around 1992 through 2000 or so. I’ve made a mini retro build dual-booting DOS 6.22 with Windows Me. It is a nice blend of old and new, ensuring that essential tech allows older software to operate as it was designed to be run, with a few conveniences made possible with the passage of time:
CPU: Pentium III 800 MHz, 133Mhz FSB
Motherboard: ACorp 6VIA82P (mATX with 1 ISA/PCI slot, 2 32 bit PCI slots, and 1 2x AGP slot)
RAM: 256MB PC133
Storage: 8.4GB IDE, 2GB Compactflash on IDE adapter, and 4x DVD optical drive
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9700 Pro (Running nGlide for 3dfx-capable software)
ISA Sound Card: Soundblaster AWE64 Gold with 28MB SIMMCONN
PCI Sound Card: Diamond Monster Sound MX300
External MIDI: Roland SC-55
Floppy: 3 1/2”
Case: IN-WIN BK623.BH300TB
(This build fits in a case less than 13 inches tall!)
I’m always interested in “new” old hardware. Tweaking is the best part about it!
