Hi my name is Julio Lemos and I'm from Brazil and I like very much the Amiga computer!

I've 41 years old and like to make games.

I always wanted to know how developers make games for Amiga.

What language do they use?

I can make games for PC , Android and iOS.

But at the time of the Amiga I had not much experience and practice.:(

Could anyone give a hint? :D

Currently I am working in a company making programs for Windows Mobile using C / C + + .

I am also making a game that will work for iOS and Android , but in this case to have higher productivity I'm not doing it either in Java or Objective C.

This game is programming in a simple language and fantastic, follow the link language Monkey.

I am learning to also work with Unity3D (now the basic version is free!).

I played many games the Amiga when I was younger.

I enjoyed playing the game Walker.

Thanks for all for reading this.

Best regards and sorry for many links,

Julio Lemos

P.S.
Some works for Android

Hello and welcome to the 'bay!

Looks like you may not live too far from rkauer, one of our moderators.

Hello there fellow coder

Welcome to AmiBay!

To get into programming on the Amiga, I would humbly recommend a C/C++ compliler - there are quite good a few cross-compilers now for the PC whereby you can compile 68k native code.

I would suggest getting used to WinUAE and using this emulator as a development / target environment - I would suggest getting a copy (digital / paper) of the ROM Kernal Reference Libraries.

Alternatively to get-into-coding on the target system, it would be perhaps easier to learn Blitz Basic and or Amos - both of these are easy to learn and will give you insight into developing for the Amiga.
