Hi Amigans, I'm Enrico, from Italy.
First of all sorry for bad english, and please, correct me when needed...
I'm an "old" Amigas user (like everybody here, I think), I started from an A500 in '89 then I passed from an A500+ and then to my favourite, the 1200... (but I used it only for games, workbench appeared to me as a mysterious object, intended for higher minds, I remember that my father could make it to talk and it seemed a miracle to me...
)
In 1995 I passed on the dark side, I sell everything for nothing (except my first 500), and I buy a PC mainly for 3D games and those lovely blue screen of death (I deserve everyone of them, I know...)
2 years ago,for the first time after 15 years, I felt the need to pull out my old friend (500), and from that moment I discovered a world I never imagined. I started from a basic configuration for transfer files from pc through serial port, I bought an A590, then an mTec 68020, then an A1200 with 68030, then a BPPC card and so on...
Many months and Euros later, I have at least 5 working configuration (A1000, 2xA500, 2x1200) that I'm trying to bring to perfection (at least my idea of perfection).
I have not participated in any forum because too engrossed in my life and I passed my free time to fight against the HD configurations (for non-DMA mtec, for SFS or PFS), or 3.9 configurations and patches, updated modules and blizkick and so on...
I received much help from you, and I hope that in future I can give something back. (I will try to individually thank those who helped me directly in the various threads)
This is truly a great community, I hope someday to be an active part of it...
