Hi used to have various CBMs in their day starting with a VIC20 ,then C64 ,C64C , C16 ,Plus/4,Amigas 2000,500,600HD ,1200HD.
Currently I have a Max'd out Amiga 600 with a 8GB CF drive ,Accelerator,Real-time clock etc and a few Plus/4's.
With the Plus/4s I bought the first one which failed when the SD card reader drive was plugged in so bought the 2nd as spares untested and it worked. bought the 3rd again untested for spares and that worked so went back to the 1st and found replacing the PLA fixed it but the keyboard was a bit rough so bought the 4th as faulty for the keyboard.
So as a result have 3 working and one faulty with damaged keyboard.

There you have it a commodore nut from the old days with some retro kit again.

I also started with a VIC20. Can't say I miss that computer much compared to the 64 and 1200. Well, Radar rat race in the VIC20 was pretty fun then :D

Can't say I remember much of the games on the Vic 20.
I had a play with assembly with it using the cartridge .
I remember writing Tic-Tac-Toe (Noughts and Crosses) against the computer in Basic and found it unplayable after the second move as it took sooo long working out the next move. Then rewriting it in assembly and the moves were instant.
With the C64 / C64C most of what I did was taking other programs apart for cheats and for the music. Though I did use them for decoding radio signals like Radio Telly Type (RTTY) and Morse.
The Amigas got the job with things like Radio FAX and Slow Scan TV (SSTV) a long with the games. These days the PC gets to decode the digital modes.
Have bought a C128DCR ,am waiting on the Keyboard adaptor to arrive before I can start doing anything with it Got to fix the disk drive as there are a couple of screws missing so the heads are too far apart. And I have an external SD Card drive.
I did use a Plus/4 and a 1551 disk drive to write a Teletext service for the local cable TV .Though I wonder how long it lasted in the hut with the TV receivers and transmitters as that used to get incredibly hot in summer but I'd moved on to another place of work before then.

Those were the days. I'm very rusty these days with 6502 assembly
