How much do you spend on your HOBBIES each month (not just amibay stuff.. any hobbies)

I've been doing some calculations recently as I'm switching mortgage provider to reduce the mortgage term by 3 years (which will take my payments up a bit)

I realised that for the last 2 years I've been spending about £300-£400 a month on my project car and console collection... All this time I thought I was actually living quite close to the edge of my limit, but looking though the last 2 years of bank statements I realised that almost all the transactions on my account are paypal transactions of £5-£15 in value, with the occasional big purchase...

Isn't it funny how little things add up very very quickly.... With my new mortgage payments I am "only" going to be able to spend £200 a month tops, lol... and I really ought to put some of that into a regular overpayment >_>

Well, this turned into a bit of a longer post that I thought...

So in brief:

I spent about £300-400 a month, now reducing to £200 tops... What do YOU spend?

Probably more than I should
me too

all the little £s add up and im saving for a wedding and a deposit for house

the wife to be has no access to my acount yet

Erm I wouldn't even like to go there..

Gym ~ £350 a month (that includes a personal trainer, gym fee and all my supplements!)

Media (blu-ray's etc) ~ £40'ish every so often

Amiga stuff ~ £50 a month tops on occasional games and bits. I'm planning on cutting down on this though...

Any major outgoings on other hobby stuff can be around £200 - £300 but only if I really want/need.

I don't mind paying for the gym stuff as it's good for me! But, other stuff I have cut back on recently (not by much, but getting there!)

Normally no more than about 50 quid a month.

This month though, Im easily into triple figures by a substantial amount.

:o

I used to spent hundreds of euros each month, 90% of them Amiga-specific items, but now I have reduced this very much, not actually because of funds, but because I cannot find anything that interests me so far (or you could easily say that I've found almost of what I wanted to have). :D

I have a bad vinyl addiction
and if its food or records
then I will buy records
even with my last £10

my retro hobby is pretty cheap, but i tend to buy something, use it/upgrade it until i feel i have used the system, then i sell it to fund my next whim

Working on a mame cabinet plus collecting anything I generally want so all in all....... Way too much :blased:

well technically nothing..
I buy stuff and fix them or upgrade them then sell them for a usualy small profit. then after i have sold like 10 or so. and paid my fees for the selling I spend that on more stuff to fix and sell..
technically im a non proffit kind of thing. but whatever proffit i do make i try and spend before the wife smells it..

"was a bad idea giving her login info for bank and pay pal.."

I just bought some £14.99 walking shoes on sale..
She decided that ment she was allowed to but 2 pairs, 1 pair of walking shoes for £50, and then some more formal shoes to go with a dress she just bought for about £40. which i was then informed she would be wearing when i took her out on her birthday.. (apparantly im taking her to a resteraunt?)

I do however manage to sneek in the odd purchace. but thats usualy more solder. or some extra soldering tips and other essentials lol.

I think i just noticed whats happening here lol.

Lucky enough i have prety much everything i want.
"no gvp hd+ or a590 yet"
but i do have my 360 + force feedback steering wheel "i managed to get both for the usual asking price of just the wheel"
I have my nintendo ds. and my little jobby do so i can put a bunch of games on 1 micro sd card.

So if we just count the non essential stuff like games and consoles and stuff.. I guess i spend like.. umm £10-£20 a month. I think the wife spends more like £80, and the baby gets more like £200 lol :picard

I think i epic failed some where.

90% of all money I "Make" selling stuf here and on my on-line store goes right back into buying stuff for each of the amiga projects I have.
I figure at least 70% of all my earnings go to AmigaKit , the rest get spent here or on the other bay.

:crying: me wants some money so I can do a proper post

I'd say around 200 GBP but it can be more, if there's something I really want to have :)
As example, I just bought my first A4000D from milo with some goodies and reworked boards / PSU <snip></snip>
So... yeah

A lot less than I used to because of the economic climate. I am hoping for another boom period to go crazy!
