As for title, I want to remove in a safe way the Commodore A1200 badge from its case, which is yellowed and is going to be painted.

Do you have any suggestion for doing it avoiding to damage the badge?

The label is quite hard and solid. I always push with a dull screwdriver or similar from the back of the chassis. There is a small hole there that you can use to push the label up a bit so that you can get a scalper or other sharp object under it from the top. Then I push from behind and lift from the front at the same time.

Gently of course. Never had a problem with it =)

couldnt you just heavily mask over the label before painting,if its spray paint.?
then exacto knife around the label before spaying, and remove the masking after.
i suppose it would have to be a very good seal.pressing in the masking with a finger nail etc in to the body and cutting around it.
