Another day, another thing to sell to pay for a watch service, I'm sure it costs more to run a watch than a car these days

So, what am I getting rid of?

It's a cracking little DM1 notebook. This runs on the AMD Fusion APU, with both the CPU and GPU sharing the same die. It actually performs really well compared to some of the atom notebooks. Happily plays HD video, and as a bonus has HDMI too, so you can play things back, or use a big screen for the net.

I have tweaked the APU voltages a little with Brazos tweaker to extend battery life and reduce the temperature. I tested it with Orthos for a full day in the middle of the heat and it climbed to a maximum of 72oC after 12 hours of 100% CPU utilisation. The APU is rated at 90oC. The thermal compound was replaced with MX-2 and the fan and heatsink cleaned prior to testing.

Condition wise it is very good, there are some scuffs and scrapes to the lid and body, but none too bad. There is also a slight blemish to the screen, which I have to say is not noticeable in normal use.

The best bit about this little machine - the original 32-bit install of the OS has been binned following a HD replacement. It is now running 64-bit Windows 7, and is backed up by 8GB of RAM!

Specs wise (shamelessly stolen from HP):

I will supply a brand new Genuine HP charger with this too. What you will receive will be the laptop and charger only. No discs etc supplied, and due to the drive replacement, there is no recovery partition, although creating a back up image on receipt is fairly straightforward.

Pic time!

Price wise, this will be £125 with 8 GB RAM (was £140, then £130), or £115 with 4GB RAM delivered to the UK via an uninsured courier service. If you would like insurance, this is only £3 extra.

Overseas, please ask for a price!

Any questions, please ask.

Sales terms:

1) Following a declaration of interest, initial contact (a PM) is due within 24 hours. If no contact is made, I reserve the right to move on to the next in line.

2) Unless expressly stated anywhere in my sales thread, I will not consider offers. The price stated is the price that will need to be paid.

3) Once all questions have been answered and my payment details have been provided, payment is due within 24 hours. If no payment is received (without further contact) I reserve the right to move on to the next in line.

4) Where free postage is offered via a standard service, payment is to be made via gift. All payments where no shipping insurance is opted for must be made via PayPal as a gift. If selecting shipping insurance then the buyer has the option of paying the fees. In the event that non-insured shipping is selected and the buyer pays the fees, the payment will be refunded and the sale declared void. If no shipping insurance is paid for, buyer assumes all responsibility in the event of the parcel getting lost in the postal system.

5) Once an item has been sent (usually next working day after payment received), the buyer will be PM'd tracking information where this is available, otherwise a PM to notify of posting will be sent. The thread will be updated.

6) All items are listed sold as seen, no warranties are expressed or implied. They were in the condition stated at the time of posting. However, these pieces are 20 years or more old, and as such are fragile and have a finite life. I cannot and will not warrant what this might be as it varies from item to item. Please understand that once these have left my hands, I am no longer responsible for them. There will be no refunds on any items due to foregoing text.

7) Shipping costs are non-negotiable and non-refundable under any circumstances.

Please be aware, I'm not a trader, just play with computers and tech as a hobby and clear out bits as well as whole laptops and other kit from time to time, these laptops are sold as seen, with no warranty either expressed or implied, as with classified ads. Unlike classified ads, I'll help out where I can and may even have some spare parts to assist with a repair/fix if needed. Just so you know ;)

One time only deal. If a deal ius concluded before midnight, I'll do the machine for the bargain price of:

£105 delivered (uninsured, £3 for insurance) with 4GB of RAM, or;
£120 delivered (uninsured, £3 for insurance) with 8GB of RAM.

Don't miss this, that is a lot of notebook for the money, you'll not find one for less anywhere!

My final offer on this one, as the cash is required more than the notebook, so £115 delivered with 8GB of RAM. Need this gone by the end of tomorrow, if it's still here, I'm going to keep it and break for parts :(

Its a very nice little laptop. I'm surprised it hasn't been taken up yet

It's a lovely laptop and performs really well. However, as there is seemingly no interest in it here, I'm withdrawing from sale and will consider breaking for parts. Could a mod please close, thank you
