This is really cool, if you're a geek.
I found a util the other day which let me take a bit-for-bit backup of the compact flash card my Amiga uses as a hard drive.
That's not the cool bit.
The cool bit is that the resulting backup file can be mounted as a hardfile with WinUAE!
OK, I've got a stupidly oversized 4GB file sitting on my laptop's HD, but HD space is cheap.
The util is dd.exe available here: http://www.chrysocome.net/dd (I've already posted about it in the Amiga Links topic). It's a Windows version of a Linux tool of the same name.
Of course, this becomes slightly redundant as of tomorrow, when I pick up my Compact Flash reader ExpressCard.
