If you own a copy of Amiga Forever, there's a registration code for IDE Fix '97 on the disc. :)

CD-DRIVE:\Amiga Files\Shared\dir\Work\Software\IDEfix97\Register\license.doc

Take care,

Heather

hmmmmmm, now as i recall there was a "grey area" here, the 2 things i seem to remember is you can buy it from AmigaKit or the like but! the 2nd way is to do with power computing who gave away a registration you can use, i'm sure one of the guys will explain the wrongs of doing this, but the truth is out there

cheers, JuvUK

Is there any way to register it these days, or you have to search for a key elsewhere?

Personally, I would seek a registration code on Google, Bing, etc ONLY if I had already owned the hardware (which I do and the Power Computing reg codes).

AFAIK there is no way to register the software with the author so I'm on the side of 'seek and you shall find'

If it's on the AmigaForever package and you own that, then surely you're white as snow?

And if you own the hardware but not the code, what then?

Morally or legally :) Either way, I'd want you to enjoy your hardware hassle free ;)

Not sure I undstood what you're saying here. Are you saying that the code doesn't work on actual hardware?

I am of the firm opinion that you purchased Amiga Forever, which comes with a LEGAL license for IDE Fix '97 so you are allowed to use it. There are no stipulations in the license file.

I cannot take credit for knowing where this license was on the Amiga Forever disc. I found a post on EAB that someone had written. :)

@scallyman

If the license did not work with the IDE Fix '97 that is already on your computer then I would try to install the version that is on the Amiga Forever disc. :D

I'm confused. Did you try the registration information that is on the Amiga Forever CD? You should just be able to type it into the screen on your real Amiga.

I think that he doesn't have access to Amiga Forever IdeFix.

IDEfix97 on Aminet has a register program. And from what I understand one can register it with ones Amiga Forever license if one got one.

No, it requires a key code. Which you enter in the register program.

Code:

That's the deal: current available version of IDEFix97 on Aminet is in fact the silent updated IDEMAX! It will not register, no matter what.

It will become registered if you plug the IDEFix Express hardware on the Amiga 1200.

The Amiga Forever CD have the old version that can be registered using the instructions supplied on the package.
