If you are Ignoring someone, how do you stop them from Messaging you?

This is interesting. I am currently ignoring someone on here (Don’t ask). Yet they can still message you. How do you stop them from messaging you? Is there a option somewhere?

Speak to a member of admin or to a moderator. Let them know the circumstances that led you to ignore the person and ask them to inform that person to stop harassing you with unwelcome PM's.

Thanks. Luckily it’s not serious as that…. Just thought if the option to ignore someone (For good reason), would mean that person you are ignoring should not then be able to message you. But good to know

In that case, just leave the conversation but select "Ignore Future Messages" from the list. Then you will never see that particular conversation again.

Well, I need to jump in here:
1.) If the "ignore" option doesnt prevent someone from sending me messages, what consequences does it trigger then at all?
2.) Can an ignored person bid on my items?

The idea is if you are ignoring someone, it’s for a good reason. I.e they could be trolling or bullying.
Yes they also cannot buy from you as well.
Although it can make it difficult if that person you are ignoring has declared interest on an item and you don’t see it.
For any responses in posts, you do have the option to read the ignored members post with an option.

A great deterrent in my opinion. The less Agro the better. It’s either that, or if it was serious then it would be reported to the admins, with a possible bye bye to anyone who wants to stay a member.

If you have previously stated to a member of admin that you will not accept any bids from a particular person due to whatever reason you have given, then it is perfectly acceptable to ignore their interest in any item(s) that you have for sale.

Agreed. I will not go into why I have ignored a couple of members on here. But just to say, to me it’s punishment enough that they A).. Can’t buy if I sell (Their loss or not) and B).. I don’t see the stupid comments they make without thinking before hitting that post button. Last thing I want to see is a member lose their membership on here for a mistake/ Freedom of speech remark. Each to their own
Obviously if it was a serious issue then it would get reported to the Mods/Admins on here and I don’t want this place to be like other places. Besides I have come over as a bit sour with one or 2 members in the past and glad I have changed my ways. Luckily a stern warning off a Admin put me in a better place
