So Last year I had a 1200 and I sold it because it was slow and unexpanded had it maybe 2 weeks. So about a week ago, I got an Amiga 2000HD with the A2630 card in it, Supra RAM Board, and A2091 card in it. Needless to say im hooked, Ive spent every night up late working on it. Got a CD-ROM installed in it too and ordered a KickStart 3.1 ROM for it so I can put OS 3.5 on it or 3.9. Things id like to get get are an 040 upgrade. More RAM, a GVP SCSI Card that supports 8MB RAM, a Video card and an ethernet card. As soon as I can Im getting WHDLoad. All I can say is this is the most fun ive had working on a computer in a very long time. Ive had lots of vintage machines and I have a IIGS, a C64 a couple unix boxes and this, and I spend the most time on this. Eventually id love to get another 1200 because of the simplicity of file transfer and ethernet.

So far its certainly been fun and I cant wait to see what more this thing brings me.

When I try to explain to my friends what I do with the Amiga it's hard to tell them. Hours of time can pass just fiddling with scripts and making WB behave the way you want it to and it give me a weird satisfaction when i'm finished. All that stopped when I moved to Windows systems, I hate the way it hides the computer away from the user but the Amiga encourages you and even entices you to mess with it!

Nice setup you have there c64man, big box Amiga's are great fun to tinker with :)

I used to love my A2000 and A4000 back in the day, when I had more time on my hands :) Just don't have the patience to fiddle as much any more :(

Very nice setup!

The 2630 and Supra Ram card should be more than enough for WHDLoad, the Supra can support up to 8MB, if there is 2 or 4 already on the 2630, than it's either 6 or 4 on the Supra.
If you plan on getting a 040 upgrade than the G-Force 040 should be your weapon of choice, as this card combines 040, Fastram and SCSI in 1.

As for Ethernet, look for an A2065 with adapter and as for video, nothing beats a Picasso II, do watch for the pin 9 on the monitor side!

Well I got my 3.1 ROM in today. Gonna install that this evening and Install OS 3.9 on it
