The thought of an Indivision ECS for my A2000 has come to mind.

The board is a Rev 4.4 upgraded to ECS Agnus and 1Mb Chipram mod, so from what i believe it should be a straight fit with no modifications.

Firstly, is it worth getting it for the A2000 given the fact that there are lots of other Zorro based options which may be cheaper or more value for money?

(EG: Indivision ECS 100 Euro vs Picasso II @ approx 140 Euro)

If that is the case, what are the better / more value for money options ? Maybe a graphics card or a Zorro FF/SD ?

Is 1MB Chip ram enough?

Should i upgrade the CPU first to say a 68030 ?

The Indi ECS is the best SD/FF you can buy. I have one in my A2k and I am absolutely satisfied. The Indi gives you the 60 Hz opinion, so you have no problem to connect it with a TFT. A ZII SD/FF always has 50 Hz, so you must have luck to own a working TFT.

But what do do first? This is a good question. The picture of a Indi is great, so I would buy this first, next a 030er and if then is any money left, a RTG card for higher resolutions and more colors!

I was a spoiled pc user befor coming back, so I never was impressed by the indivision compared to an rtg card..

Although if you like the old amiga games it is the best option available. I have one indivision for a500 and one for A1200. The indivision performs great with basic resolutions in workbench as well, rendering sharp performance there, if you do not wan't high ress stuff..

Though you might safe yourself the money and use a scart cable to a good television and a monitor on a rtg card or a tv with both inputs.. Though this might proove imperfect as well.. I have a cheap lcd monitor it is good in nothing to be honest... (vga..scart..composite..) Selectign the right input is a pain on my mode as well..

Probably you need to decide about desk space, usage, etc before spending $$$ I have some old friends that used amiga, who love the look of worbench 3 without much expansions, then you do not need an rtg card, since workbench is designed for ecs-ocs-aga ...

Yes probably you are right. I'm sure an LCD monitor would look nicer than the 1084S. But then I also have a LCD 19" TV with Scart spare but it does not flickerfix.

I guess first I will go for whatever comes first at a good deal. Either indivision or accelerator.

If i get a RTG could i use it with the indivision to have native modes and rtg modes without manual switching or dual monitors like what the Picasso IV with SD/FF does?

I think best for an A2k is a good FF/SD (Indi ECS) and a Picasso II (+) or GVP Spectrum RTG card with 2 MB graphics ram. Not more because the ram should be in the ZII RAM area of 8 mb (in the other case, the RTG cards are awfully slow), so you have room for 6 mb of ZII fastram.
