Found Infra Red (wireless) Mega Drive Pads + Receiver

Hey all, first time posting a Wanted on Amibay, but I remain hopeful that it'll bare fruit.

I'm after a set of either one or two of the old official Sega Mega Drive Infra Red Control Pads and the receiver.

I'd prefer to get the UK released versions that came with 6 buttons and a red start button (like the Mega Drive II/Genesis II 6 button pads), but I believe there exists a Japanese variant with a blue start button.

I have 2 pairs of Akklaim Dual Turbo Wireless. In excelent condition.

They are much better from the official because

a)they have a better and wider rage than the officials.

b)they auto shut off after 20 minutes

c)they have slow and fast motion plus led indicators

I bought them from the US. Those released especially for Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam. But they work just fine in many games.

The officials you are asking are very rare and you find them they go above 70-80 pounds.

Thanks for the response, I've seen the Acclaim ones kicking about, but I'm just a sucker for official Sega hardware (even when there are better third party options out there), even if I have to pay more.

Out of interest how much would you be after for the Acclaim ones?

If you want both pairs i think 55 to 60 pounds + shipping is OK.

But remember you get 2 receivers and 4 joypads in excellent condition

Clean contacts. Not corroded.

And they are not "such 3rd party"

They are the BEST ALT licensed by SEGA.

Managed to track down the Japanese version for around £35, so going to go with that, despite the better quality of the Acclaim models, but thanks. Still on the hunt for the red button versions though.

Just realised I've been spelling Akklaim the proper way rather than the company way... *facepalm* oh:
