I am really attached to the Amiga 3.0/3.1 boot screen.

It has the Amiga Checkmark. It says Commodore-Amiga, Inc. It's just right!

Is there any way to restore the checkmark in place of the ball and Commodore-Amiga, Inc. screen for newer versions of ROMs? For those really picky people who want to fly stealth and have the original look? Is it possible? Doable? Hard?

Not an expert on Kickstart ROM hacking but perhaps the main issue is available space on the ROM?

Anyway, someone much more knowledgeable than me can probably provide a better answer and explanation to your question

From what I recall (I last used it in the 90s!) BootPic (bootpic.lha on aminet) allows a custom IFF but only on a soft reboot…but I might be wrong as it was a long time ago! Doesn’t quite do what you want but it is close!

I think you might want to check out AmigaBootLogo project at Github :)
Excellent! But it's 1.3, and A500. Can 3.0 be extracted, then pushed into a different ROM on an A1200? Copy/paste - not even modified for starters.

I've had someone note that romsplit software could get into the code. Then it's a matter of copying the 3.1 boot screen into later kickstart and soft loading to test? Does anyone know if this romsplit software exposes the contained kickstart elements?
