Hi all,
I bought these with the intention of at least keeping the SATA units for myself, and putting the IDE units in various older rigs. However, I have so many other unfinished projects that I have decided to get rid of the lot rather than leave them sitting about.
I haven't tested them, so they are sold as is.
Pictures can be supplied if needed, just ask. Here we go:
SATA Drives:
Western Digital WD5000AVCS 500GB (I think) Green power drive. This looks to have had the top cover removed and re-fitted as the top cover looks to have been overtightened in a couple of places. There are also 'swirl' marks where the screws appear to have been removed and replaced.
Western Digital Caviar SE WD3000JS - No outward signs of tampering or damage.
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS - The warranty seal label has been punctured, but the cover doesn't look to have been removed.
IDE Drives:
Hitachi Deskstar HDS728080PLAT20 (80GB, 7200RPM) - Looks to be physically ok.
Seagate ST340015A - Top label is scruffy, but otherwise doesn't look to have been opened.
Samsung Spinpoint SP0411N - A couple of resistors/capacitors seem to be missing from the PCB, I doubt this will work.
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8 40GB - Seems that a component is missing from the PCB. Unlikely to work. The suspect component is present, but will need re-fitting!
Maxtor 5T010H1 - Dirty, but looks intact.
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 80GB - A bit grubby, but looks to be intact and unopened.
Seagate Barracuda ATA V 60GB - Can't see the PCB on this one, it's under a plate. No screws have been removed from the looks of things.
These drives are sold as is, and I cannot guarantee that any of them will work! As a result, paypal gift only on this one!
£15 (was £20, then £18, then 17, then £16) for the lot, including standard uninsured UK delivery. Overseas, please ask, although the bundle is pretty heavy!
Cash on collection also welcome.
