This PCB protects the CIA & SID chips from ESD shocks originating from the joystick port.
ESD shock to the joystick port is quite common. The ports are close to the power switch and it’s easy to accidentally touch the port pins. Some games & demos even want you to touch the port pins.
I designed this because my first unit got the CIA damaged and up directions stopped from working. I also show my machines at school and work place events. Many kids and people handle the machines so there is a great risk for damage.

Designed for Commodore 64 but you can also try it on other machines (0-5V voltage and signal ranges. +5V voltage on pin 7).
Fits new VIC-20. Old one needs ESD Protector 2.0.
Difference between version 1.0 (sold out) and 1.1 is slightly narrower slot for better fit.

5€ soldered PCBs (two PCBs with the ESD chips soldered to the PCB)

Amiga got the same signal pins so it should work. Some have bought these with the intention of installing these into Amigas.
I guess the extra buttons use the analog pot-x & pot-y signals.

There is a postal strike in Finland ending 24.11. It delays the deliveries by weeks.

Have to withdraw interest. Not because of the postal strike, but rather because I figured that it won't fit the Amiga (at least the AGA models). That's because the ESD chips occupy the area where the DB 9 connectors have their soldered large "anchor" pins.
If a redesign could be made, where both ESD chips sit alongside the outer pin row of the connector ( there should be a clearance of about 7 mm to the edge of the Amiga's mainboard that can be used), I would be in again for AT least 8 kits.
