hello my friends,

i´m looking for a key for my A4000D front-lock to finish my A4000D-project... at the moment it fails at the most insignificant thing - look here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N11fMQBQs5Y

this one I had not even on the screen...

Some details:

outside diameter: 6,2mm
inside diameter: 5mm
stamp on key (maybe, this is not a must have): "1506"

So, if anyone has one or two spare-keys, please pm! (y)

I have about a dozen here.
But seem to be pretty standard.
I see some are stamped with 905 and others have 1103.
You are welcome to have a pair of each.
Not sure what postage would be to Germany.
PM me if you are interested.

I might have caused a little confusion.
The keys I have are just standard case locks.
They weren't originally from an A4000. Sorry.
Hope they might still work for you.

Yeah, I got several of these "universal sorta" keys, some work some don't. I can look at mine to see if there is a number, I tried them on the front panel, seems to lock and unlock.

I have been making one for my A4000. I'd be interested to know if they are all unique as well.

Here are the measurements from my DIY key.

- 4.8mm inside dia'
- 6.3 outside dia' and is a snug fit.

On either side of the barrel, set opposed and at 45° to the key tab are 1/8 inch (3.175mm) milled indents. Inline with the key tab is a pin 1.7mm dia' inserted into the barrel 1.8mm from the end.

Number 182 fits on my 4000d
301, 102, 6078 & 2036 fit on 4000t
905 & 1001 didn't fit on either of the 2 systems.
No clue if these numbers were a standard they used :)

Since I buy a bunch at a time, have you thought of just replacing the whole keylock; they run around $X.XX USD and it takes 5 minutes to solder a new one in.

@manic23: thanks :)

@holzroller: I'd say 4.8mm inside, 6.4mm outside diameter. I have no other lock to compare, but I'd say this key is a bit loose (but works) in my A4000T's lock. As you can see, the key is very simple, just a single tooth in a straight angle. I thought I had a couple of more of these keys *somewhere*, but haven't found them yet. I'll get back to you if I find any.
