As in title; the best in US or UK layout. Other layouts might be considered as well. PM me if you have spare lying around. :)

@Zert0:
It's better to have original keyboard in my opinion, but if you have something for sale please let me know.

I can understand the want for the original, alas I wish I did have a spare I could part with, unfortunately I dont =(

I asked only out of interest as i believed that there might be more abundant alternatives - like an A2K or A3k Keyboard.

good luck on your quest =)

The A4000 keyboard is a rare beast those days. You can grab an A2k/3k unit (albeit A3k units are even more rare) and just swap the cord from a dead PS/2 keyboard from pc world (the pc keyboard don't need to be dead :twisted:).

Yea, working A4000 keyboards are hard to find. I was thinking about getting the adapter to use a PC keyboard, and then popping off the Windows keys and putting the A keys in their place. Not sure if there are other key differences though as I have never used one of these adapters.

If you find a Mitsumi keyboard probably the Amiga keys will fit perfectly on the place of the windows keys.

No, they have minor differences, as the 4k is white & A3k is beige. Also they differ on the top, where the 3k unit have a different layout.

I have this. It came with an A4000 that i plan on breaking for parts as its not complete (caseless, power rod missing etc) and a couple of the RAM slot clips are broken. Here are some photos....see what you think :)
Its a bit grubby at the moment and yellowed, but i will polish it up and take more pictures in good lighting tomorrow.

I think they look similar but the A3k is cream(or maybe it just needs some retr0bright :D) and the A4k is white/grey.

Edit sorry I missed page 2 :whistle:
