Hello, I've recently acquired a Kickflash which... works as well as it is supposed to, however I got it as a package deal with a Delfina "Flipper" editon. I did some research and other than a post on a.org about "that doesn't work" can anyone tell me whether that "can't work" or "that definitely doesn't work and never will"? The seller did his homework and verified that it didn't get plugged in backwards on the kickflash clockport and I followed his pictures exactly. Problem is that the machine either locks hard whenever the delfina.library is loaded either via delfmem or delfinit or trying to play sound OR I get a ramlib error #80000004. I've tried the newest available version 417b392 of the delfina.library and 416b48 and the one included on the floppy 416xsomething. I've also tried stackattack with a setting of 8192 and 16000 and no stack. I've also tried cursing at it profusely. Forgot to mention configuration is A4000-A3640, tested with stock OS31 and OS39.

It's a bit tricky to get working and boing bag 2 and up in OS 3.9 breaks the driver, so that's worth knowing. I don't remember exactly how I got it working but I know I found it by searching either here or on Google.

Geminister are you using the Delfina "Flipper Edition" on a Kickflash clockport?

Got a response from Mr. JS "Kickflash has a special clockport that doesn't work out of the box, but software is required to initialize it. The Delfina software does not do that, so these don't work together. And also asking what version of X-surf he would recommend to use with it Rev 1 and 2 only work with Commodore Zorro slots, Rev.3cc will work with A1200 Zorro expansions" (probably means works with others).

Found an X-surf to plug it in to and it works great. Question: Is there any benefit to using the 26 pin connector instead of the clockport?
