Hello,

As suggested by the Amibay staff when signing up I'd like to introduce myself.

I'm a long time member of and site contributor to Lemon64.com, and a stint at Lemon Amiga as well. Some may have heard my C64 remixes back in the early 2000s at RKO.

I'm working on a major Commodore 64 music recording project in high definition audio quality, made at my mastering studio (http://www.onlinemastering.dk/index-us.html)

I'm collecting a variety of C64s with different SID chips in order to obtain a wide selection of choices (4 different so far, but I'm looking for more). I'm also performing what I think is one of the most thorough SID tests ever done in order to assess the different practical chip characteristics and noting my findings in a spreadsheet. I'll publish this information along side the music to the public once it's ready for everyone to enjoy.

Best,

Holger

Hi and welcome!!!
interesting SID work you are doing there... don't know if it's interesting to you but a member on VOGONS forum is doing an "Innovation 2001" clone, basically an ISA soundcard for pc that uses the SID:

here is the thread: http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=27045

Very cool, is that anything similar to HardSID?

In my case I'm going to record directly from fully functional real C64's. However, I'll mod the audio outputs slightly to lower noise by grounding the input pin, and also avoid VIC chip interference by shutting it off during playback.
