I'm offering a modification service for your LCD monitor to make it (more) Amiga or Atari ST/STe compliant.

After the mod, monitor should support at least OCS/ECS/AGA PAL, NTSC, DblPAL, DblNTSC, Multiscan, Euro72 and Super72 modes natively - meaning you don't need a scan doubler, just hook your Amiga to the monitor directly. RGB to VGA adapter is still required. Original Commodore or after market ones are fine. Watch out for adapters with bandwidth filter having a filter locked in to a certain cutoff frequency, as some available even over here.

For the Atari ST/STe, Color 50 Hz, Color 60 Hz and Mono modes are supported.

Check the "development" thread and individual monitor guides to see what to expect, or ask for details in a PM.

Price for the service is 50 EUR, 40 EUR if this is your 5th mod already, 30 EUR if this is your 10th+ mod already.
This provides for unlimited changes being done to the single monitor, e.g. apply Amiga mod, apply Atari mod, revert to the original state etc.

How this works:
  • Declare interest and send a PM.
  • In a PM please send clear pictures of monitor from the front and back, picture of ports in the back, picture of label in the back and of the service menu. Check the guide for your monitor to find out how to get to the service menu.
  • Choose one of the options below:
    • Option 1: You do it yourself. You need to own an Arduino Uno, Nano or Mega 2560 and hack a VGA cable which will be used to connect the Arduino to the monitor. There is no soldering or additional components involved - just 3 wires from the VGA cable need to be connected to Arduino pins. Pick up the software and schematics from the attached ZIP file. Pick up the latest version available and make sure to go through the read me files in the archive. Also, please verify your Arduino actually works by uploading and running some examples from Arduino IDE for instance.
    • Option 2: You mail in the monitor, I modify it, test it and mail it back. You cover all the shipping costs.
This procedure is still somewhat in an infancy stage and might not be completely error prone. If something goes wrong, your monitor or computer gets turned into a paperweight, you set your house or the entire neighborhood on fire, it's your own fault, I will not be held liable.

List of currently supported monitors is below and is expected to grow over time - click on the link to see which hardware and firmware versions for each monitor are currently supported.

If you own a monitor with the same commercial name but of different hardware and/or firmware revision than the ones on the list, it is extremely likely the modification can still be done but with some additional steps. However, there are no such guarantees and if you decide to buy a monitor and it turns out it has different hardware or firmware to the ones already supported and modding is not possible or cannot be done via Arduino, it's your own fault. Check the list carefully to see if your monitor is supported or not, or send me a PM if unsure.

Please note that all the mods are prepared and tested on PAL machines. Whether they work or not and how they perform on NTSC machines is beyond me.

Supported monitors:

Edit:
Thanks, I should of tried that, but didn't have another VGA source (other than Amiga) readily available. I have now accessed service menu. Firmware is V176L- -A-13 04 17-01 same as listed in the V176L thread, so will wait for your PM
First V176L patched successfully

I've just noticed there is no "Declare interest" button to this thread.

I'll see if we can get it added for future use.

Ok. Now added the "Declare interest" button.

All previous declarations are still valid :)
