Okay.

So all of yesterday I tried to figure out what was wrong with my machine. Trying both this way and that way to figure out what was wrong. RAM? No, libraries, no.

Even tried with two different disks, two different PPC cards... No luck.

Tested the archives with WinRar. OK, that worked.

Final test, try it in WinUAE:

Damn! It fails there too!! Good, so it just wont work?

Back to square one. I'll have to dig on...

Ooookay....

So it appears that all files were damaged when I copied them by drag and drop in WinUAE. That worries me, what should I do, all of them were wrong.

Sounds like a file system issue if all files are getting corrupted like that. What Amiga file system are you using, and are you sure you set it up correctly?

It's SmartFileSystem v1.279. It's installed on a SanDisc 4GB flash card formatted as one partition with the SFS\00 identifier, with transfer mask 1x1fffe. I dunno what went wrong the first time. But it hasn't behaved badly since.

Wrong max transfer! Use 0x1FE00 or less, never more than this value.

Thanks! Will do, I did not know that, I thought 0x1fffe was the spot.
