Hi
Thinking of building a nice, smart, and very quiet home theatre PC?
I may have the perfect case for you!
For sale is my one of my previous PC tower cases, now surplus to requirements as I have moved onto a larger one.
This is the Lian Li PC-S80, an extremely solid case made completely of aluminium. It is a very, VERY quiet case as it has many layers of sound insulation, vibration dampening and the sides are very thick and sturdy.
Its front door hinges outwards to reveal 4x 5.25" bays (one of which has an optical drive faceplate), and closes with a very solid ball-bearing latch.
Inside are 5x 3.5" hard disk bays, all of which provide extra heatsinking for your drives and plenty of space around them for airflow, provided by the front fans.
As this case was released just before the very large graphics cards were starting to become commonplace (like the GeForce 8800 GTX for example) the case wasn't big enough to allow them to fit due to the hard disk cage being too far back.
However, I have modified the case, moving the hard disk cage about half an inch further forward - easily allowing monster graphics cards to fit inside!
This was done very carefully - you'd probably never even have noticed had I not mentioned it
It involved some drilling out of rivets, creating some new holes, and riveting the drive cage back into place - done by my friend, who did a very clean and tidy job.
The case comes with all its components including the rear air duct and the internal air duct for the CPU area. There is a bag of screws, and motherboard mounts for ATX boards are already in place.
One fan is missing from the front, as it broke and I didn't replace it. All the original screws and the mounting cage for the fan is included should you wish to add a replacement.
Overall, the case is in excellent condition and would look fantastic in any office or living room, however I am in the process of cleaning it of fluff!
I will get it as clean as possible for the next owner.
There are one or two very minor marks, just from normal use, but they don't detract from the very nice looks of the case. If I was being picky, theres just one or two tiny bits of rubbing where the anodizing has come off, but no damage to the metal. No dents or scratches around the exterior at all.
Inside, one or two of the inner-wall panels have some scratches, but they were there when I received the case. They're never seen once assembled anyway - if you really cared, you could rub them up with some emery paper, as it's all bare metal
The case comes in its original box which will be used for shipping - this way you can be sure it'll arrive in perfect condition

)
I am asking £30GBP for the case.
Shipping within the UK will be £10GBP, Europe probably in the region of £30GBP - the box weighs roughly 15kg! I'll refund any excess shipping charges.
I accept PayPal, bank transfer and cheque
Gift appreciated, but not necessary.
Further pictures available on request, and when I get it cleaned properly
Many thanks for your interest
