Hi all,
Just thought I'd introduce myself. I found Amibay after becoming disillusioned with the prices and availablility of Miggy parts on a certain auction site. Seems the number of A4000s offered there has plummetted in recent years. I used to be an avid Amiga gamer and have kept it up since with UAC with some success. After all, I can't think of a better use for an expensive PC gaming rig!
I still have my old A1200 up and running and have pimped it up with an Apollo 030/50, 16MB RAM, SCSI interface, 1GB HD, and a Goliath PSU. I'd really like to make using it again more convenient so really came here looking for a scandoubler and info on the types available, and hopefully for the occasional time I like to go looking for A4000Ts in the hope it coincides with a time I have £100s spare to blow on such a project
Not happened so far, but one day...
Since browsing round here a few days, I've noticed a lot of other things that have given me ideas, like overhauling capacitors, moving from my conventional HD to a CF system, and further upgrades. Of course it's dependant on an understanding wife
Looking forward to lurking around here pretty regularly!
