A few of questions:

1) Are those actual pics you took?

2) Any visible scratches when looking close?

3) Is it actually a 1.55Ghz CPU? - I understand a lot of the late 1.42's were actually 1.55Ghz

Cheers,

Kin

1) Those are actual pictures
2) There are some scratches on the top of the case, but I wasn't able to photograph them
3) How can I check if it is a 1.55 GHz CPU?

RE checking for a 1.55Ghz CPU, I guess some software info tool for the Hardware would say what's what. - Other than that, I have absolutely no idea.

Open the case and search for a sticker somewhere on the motherboard... :run:

re: CPU speed.

No sticker on motherboard (at least not on my 1.5ghz machine) :)

Under MorphOS: Select "System Monitor" from the "Utilities" menu from the screenbar drop down menus. Then choose "System Details", that'll show cpu speed.

Under OSX: Select the Apple logo at the left of the drop down menus at the top of the screen and select "About this Mac". That'll do it.

Just to add if it is rated at 1.5ghz it's either an Apple "silent upgrade" machine or it could have been overclocked by a previous owner. If it's any other rating above 1.5ghz such as 1.55 or 1.58 it's likely to be a 1.42ghz machine overclocked by an end user.
