Hello all,

I am selling this Mac Mini G4 with Morphos 3.1 (registered) & Mac OS-X 10.5 Leopard installed, to it's original box. The package contains all official OS-X Tiger media/DVDs, power supply and DVI to VGA converter.

The Mac Mini does not include officially a keyboard/mouse set, but you could use any USB or blue-tooth mouse or keyboard you wish (blue-tooth connection will need pairing process before use).

Please note that this registration of Morphos only works with the specific Mac Mini, which is already installed. I have also installed the Ultimate pack for Morphos 3.1 and I have updated some of it's packages and games up to date (dated: 15/08/2012).

The Mac Mini is small, elegant and in great condition. It is a great opportunity to buy it here maxed-out with both operating systems installed.

The hardware configuration is:

PowerPC G4 1.42 GHz
1GB RAM
80GB Hard Disk
Bluetooth/Airport
DVD-RW

final and lowest price: 230 Euros (including shipping/handling within the Europe).
payment: via Bank Transfer or PayPal (gift or buyer pays the fees)
No returns

Please PM me if you need any further information

Thank you very much

Hello!
Aren't these the machines that can experimentally run AmigaOS4 with some kind of software trick? AFAIR I read somewhere about it... can you tell us more if the answer is positive?
Another thing, how fast is MorphOS on this kind of gear? I heard that it's impressively faster than on real Amiga HW, and I have seen real Amiga PPC running both AmigaOS4.1 and MorphOS, the latter is slightly faster on the same hardware...
Please give some details, I may purchase that to fiddle around if you persuade me, coz right now I can't afford real Amiga PPC stuff...

Hi,

Yes, I there is a project with a MOANA loader for this, take a look here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0Z0fp77Ubs
I have also found this blog which includes some more info: http://macminios4.blogspot.gr/

Morphos is a very fast operating system and it seems the most complete and stable Amiga OS enviroment. It is compatible with Amiga Applications and WHDLoad games and it has a lot more great stuff. That's why the Mac Mini is the best PPC Platform for both worlds, Morphos and Mac OS-X operating system.

Also, I noticed that version 3.1 of Morphos/Ultimate pack contains an internal update Application for libs, drivers, apps, games, etc... and this reminds me the package managers on Linux distributions...

Thank you for your message

I never tried it, but can I run WHDLoad games straight on MorphOS? I mean without any kind of emulator?

ps. the machine and price are GREAT, good luck with the sale.

As far as I know, MorphOS have built-in on-demand emulation for 68k software, resembling a lot the "rosetta" for Mac OS.

Hi Countraven and thank you for your comments

To be honest, I have run "real" Amiga WHDLoad games, after the installation of the ultimate pack, from an external usb hard disk I have, without checking if they run native or under an "embedded" Morphos emulator. For the user it is the same. The games started immediately and the performance of the game is 100%.

As Rkauer says, Morphos includes a built-in on-demand emulation, but currently I have not found any details on this.
If it is true, then add +10 points to Morphos

Aye, thanks for all the details, but my interest must be withdrawn, due to different financial priorities for the moment!
The road is wide open for whoever interested, neat and nice little machine...
:)

Mac Mini will be available for sale until next week.

Final and lowest price: 230 Euros (shipping/handling included within the Europe)

Thank you
