I am selling a MagicBox Alphagen Gen II. One of the coolest custom Character Generators based on a full Amiga 1200.
It runs a custom OS installed on CD and (partly) hard drive.
So what are you getting, exactly?
- Cool custom rackmount case
- Amiga 1200 mainboard
- Kickstart 3.1
- Apollo 1230 68030 Turbocard, including 68882 FPU running at 42Mhz (http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/apollo1230mk3)
- 4MB SIMM (Fast Ram)
- PC Keyboard Adapter
- 44 -> 44 PIN IDE Converter
- 10GB hard drive
- CD-Rom drive
- Sony MPF920 floppy drive with Amiga converter (yes, you can boot Amiga disks just fine!)
- IOBlix clockport Parallel port expansion
- GVP G-Lock external Genlock (NOTE: NTSC model!)
- PC Keyboard
This is actually the more luxurious version of the MagicBox Alphagen: It's the Image Capture version, which includes the hard drive and Parallel port option for a scanner.
More info on the Magicbox website: http://www.magicboxinc.com/support/discontinued/alphagen.html
And Amiga History: http://www.amigahistory.plus.com/bundles/magicbox.html
But, pictures tell better tales:

This is the box itself, ofcourse the original top cover is included. It has a slighlty bent rackmount ear, but I leave that to you to bend back.

The internals show the mainboard (inside it's shielding), the turbocard, the floppy converter, and the IOBlix.

The original bullitin system is still installed, ready to run!
Also shown a screenshot from Sysinfo.

Finally the rebranded GVP Genlock.
These machines were only sold in the US in the broadcast market, they are an interesting piece of Amiga history, with the very well built custom OS. I have taken the trouble of shipping it to Europe and taking care of import taxes, now is your chance to have some fun with it!
Asking price is € 350,- for the lot. This excluded shipping and paypal charges.
For shipping costs look at this thread: https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?43472-Dutch-Postage-rates and see the column 5-10KG and choose your option.
