hi,
we used a Teac 224E cd drive with a JAE to ide 3.5 adaptor, this is connected to a buffered IDE interface, and running IDEFix software to sort out the channels.
If you like the Ferrari A1200 there are more pictures in my photo albums on my profile page.

cheers, JuvUK

lol are you looking at Gareth? trust me he didn't need any stronger beer;)

i don't think his cd drive would have been a good fit in the case if we'd drank any more.

:D

ROFL! OI! i'm Welsh, and ask yourself this, why is it free to get into England, but you have to pay to get into Wales.
One word of warning though, don't actually stop the car, well not if you like your wheels that is:LOL:

Ha ha ha, thanks for that Juv, I look like some kind of nutter with a file... oh wait... I am some kind of nutter with a file.

For the purpose of the tape, I insist that there must have been a faulty batch at the brewery!

Yeah had a great weekend and lots of plans hatched for future hackery.

@TC nah South Wales isnt too far at all. Infact if I stand on the roof of my house on a clear day, I can see the white cliffs of Cardiff!

i know it's always difficult to organise, but would there be any interest in a mass drunken orgy of hardware hackery?

i'm talking serious group hackery and retro gameage :)

The idea is grand. I'd love to meet some of the folks on here, but as ever, it's always the purse-strings that determine whether or not I can do something like this. Currently they're saying a very loud NO!
