Marpet memory upgrade kit for expanding the memory on an Atari 520 / 1040 STF STFM or Mega ST 1 or 2 computer upto a maximum of 4mb
This is ONLY for the STF / STFM or Mega ST *** NOT STE ***
(this kit is not suited for the early 520 ST / STM with external floppy disk drive and power supply, if you require a kit for these early machines please message me)
PLEASE NOTE: Atari made several re-visions to the STFM over the years, even though they all look the same outside, they are not inside and you will need to take yours apart to verify if this kit will fit
Basically this is for STFM’s that have the socketed MMU chip and socketed Video Shifter chip (video shifter chip in silver box in middle of motherboard) if either of these chips are soldered directly to the board you will not be able to use this kit without modification (ie: add a socket for Video Shifter chip or soldering wires directly to the motherboard for the MMU)
so please make sure this kit is correct for your machine prior to purchase
