Hi all,
This is a very sad post for me to be making :'(
Having just booked a lovely holiday of a lifetime, I must now pay for it! And, it means I am having to whittle down a collection of either my watches, or my retro kit. Seeing as I wear my watches, and most of my Amiga gear has sat where I put it months ago, the Amiga gear is going.
Stick with me on this one, this is a BIG for sale post!
My terms of sale are listed at the end of the post. Please read them
1) An A1200 complete with a Falcon 1240 Accelerator with 40Mhz '040 @25Mhz & 4GB CF HDD - SOLD to baz.
An A1200 with a white case (Rev 1B Mobo), little bit of discolouration, not too bad.
New Keyboard (so nice and white)
New floppy drive
4GB CF HDD setup with Scalos (Full workbench replacement, works very nicely)
Standard PSU
Sorry, no mouse, cables or other accessories.
Various other freeware/shareware installed as well, such as Amigaweb and Miami
I have used this today and it really is a cracking machine. I have browsed the web, including amibay on it, and have to say I feel I missed out all those years ago. It is missing it's trapdoor cover, although I am fairly certain I have a spare, so if I find that it will be included
The accelerator It is a Falcon 1240@25Mhz and works fine. It has a full fat 68040 with FPU and will be supplied with a 64MB memory module. The CPU is a 40Mhz unit, but I just never got around to replacing the xtal! drop a 80Mhz xtal in for a nice speed boost. There is no fan on the CPU, although it didn't appear to get that hot in use. Due to the size of the RAM module, you'll need to run sans trapdoor, otherwise it will bulge significantly, if it even closes at all.
For those that don't know, it is possible to upgrade a Falcon to an '060, but there is little info on how to do this. You would need to work it out
The Falcon also has an on-board SCSI controller, so only requires the addition of a passive adpter to be able to run external devices. This can be bought (if you can find one) or made. I don't know how though, sorry!
One of the pins of the SCSI chip is actually detached from the board, although having looked up the wiring diagram, the pin that is detached is marked as no-connection on the schematic, so it is a non-issue really.
It caused no problems whilst I was browsing the web and playing a couple of games. In a way I wish I hadn't fired the beastie up, but hey ho, needs must etc... :'(
The cost of the bundle will be WAS £300, then £290, now £285 including standard delivery. For fully insured delivery, which I would recommend, it will be £6 extra. UK postage only on this one. Collection is welcome, but cash only in that event.
Feel free to ask any questions, but be nice, I am still feeling quite sensitive about having to let this go, having been looking for a nice white unit for what seems like forever!

2) Apollo 1260 @80Mhz with 64MB RAM Rev 6 CPU - Stachu upgrade! - Sold to baz.
Here we have a card that needs no intro - The Apollo 1260. It is a full fat 060, Rev 6 CPU with the 71E41J stepping. Runs very happily at 80Mhz, and flies. I just haven't really used it since purchase, and it is so sad to see it in the drawer everytime it gets opened.
I bought it direct from Stachu with the following work done:
- Sockets removed, MACH chips soldered directly to board for better connection.
- New battery
- 2nd SIMM Socket installed (doesn't fit in desktop machine)
All nice and clean and works perfectly. The installed fan can be a little loud, so I managed to track down the exact fan that is already on there and will include that in the sale.
Will also come with a spare 50Mhz Crystal.
WAS £390, then £380, then £370, now £365 inc. UK Special Delivery. Overseas postage, please ask!

3) 2 x unused Full 68060 Motorola CPUs @50Mhz - 1 sold to emm853, 1 Sold to Tuxbar81 (ALL GONE!)
I bought these off Philct a while ago intending to use them to upgrade a couple of 040 accelerators, but these went in the same drawer everything else went in and have just sat there ever since.
Whilst these are marked up as XC68EC060RC50 units, they do in fact have both an FPU and MMU. Below is a 'whichamiga' screen for the CPU - the first time it was ever used! I have two of these and they are priced individually. The price includes a new 50Mhz crystal oscillator too.
WERE £55 each, then £52.50, then £51, now £49.99 each, including standard 2nd class post in the UK. Overseas, please ask.

4) 2 x Faulty Blizzard 1230 MkIII Accelerator cards.
Sadly neither of these work. hese spent a long time trying to fix them, and whilst there was some degree of success with one card, the other is probably usable for parts.
The first card (with the CPU) have been checked out by hese, with each component being indiviudally tested. This what was found:
- The 68030 processor works.
- The original 50MHz oscillator soldered to the Blizzard card.
- The GAL chips and Boot ROM of both cards work. I've tested them on the faulty card and got it to boot to the boot screen. These are the only chips that you can't buy from a store if they break. Because these chips work, repairing the card is possible.
- All the basic chips except the RTC chip have been tested and they are working. Faulty 74F543 chips that have been replaced with new.
- The edge connector of the card is the likely cause of the problem, and needs to be replaced.
Card#2
This has a nasty burn under the CPU socket. Looks as though hot air was used here and it may have damaged the traces on the card. However all the chips on the card appear to be fine. This would be useful as a donor card, and it has an edge connector that could go on card 1!
I've just lost interest in these two having been fiddling for 18 months, and just want to get back some of what these have cost me. I want to sell these together, so please don't ask me to split them!
WERE £105, then £99, then £95 now £90 including standard UK delivery (no insurance). Overseas please ask.

5) Magnum Accelerator with QFP 68EC030 @40 Mhz
I bought this as working, but cannot get any machine I've tried it in to boot. It comes with a SIMM (unknown size, but probably either 4 or 8MB) and a 28Mhz Crystal. Physically looks in OK shape.
May be a ROM issue.
WAS £65, then £60, now £57.50 including standard UK delivery (uninsured). Overseas please ask. SOLD to baz

6) Amiga 1200 Rev. 1D4 Motherboard
I bought this with the intention of building a towered machine - this didn't happen either
No evidence of burst or leaking caps. Looks nice and clean, IDE works fine.
Edge connector not perfect but works OK. Keyboard clip missing in pics, but a spare will be included.
£65 posted standard 2nd class to the UK. Overseas please ask. SOLD outside amibay.

7) Motorola 68020 @25Mhz
Bought this just in case I got an ACA 1220 to do an upgrade, you guessed it, didn't happen!
This is the ceramic version, so a nice little upgrade for the standard plastic or slower version on your ACA card.
£20 posted standard 2nd class to the UK. Overseas please ask. SOLD to Voyager_1701e

8) 40MHz PLCC Motorola MC68882FN40A FPU and 40Mhz Crystal
Originally bought for the Magnum '030, listed earlier. As that didn't work on any of my systems, I don't need them. Both were bought new, but haven't actually been tested.
£10 posted standard 2nd class to the UK. Overseas please ask. SOLD to tokyoracer.

That's it, for now!
Amibay have exclusivity until Sunday, then this will be advertised elsewhere.
I took quite a lot of pics, and managed to flatten my battery. Pics will be added to this thread when I can get them off the camera. Please do declare interest in the meantime!
Have fun
