I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they were all fake, to be quite honest.

Reason being, there's an excessive amount of fake items on AliExpress, DHGate, and so on.

Hi,
aliexpress works in this way:
- you pay to aliexpress the items;
- the seller send you the items;
- you receive the items;
- if all ok you tell aliexpress to pay the seller;
- if not you can open a dispute via aliexpress;
... so if it's a fake the seller won't be payed .... and aliexpress should refund you.
For what I know aliexpress is a big and reliable organization....

I bought there several (cheap) items and all went well. Items arrive more swift than with DealExtreme.
Protection of the buyer seems to be very good. http://www.aliexpress.com/buyerprotection/index.html
As far as I know AliExpress is just the platform. They are all individual sellers using this platform. And of course paying part of their profit to AliExpress.

Can you elaborate this statement?

Certainly. Those sites are hot-spots for wholesalers of fakes and counterfeits - if you search for, for example, say, flash media (EDIT: Lots of references here), or video games merchandise (EDIT: Guides here; Mention of the amount of fake merch here), you're unlikely at best to find genuine items, because the legitimate suppliers of these goods don't offer them there. At least as far as items in these and similar categories go, they're just a bigger version of sites like DealExtreme - tat clearinghouses with the occasional good find. :p

I confirm that there is less than 0.01% probability these cpu might be genuine. Chinese crap sellers are aware that some people look after this kind of obsolete cpu. They are offering them on ebay for long.

Some thoughts...
Genuine Motorola parts usually have print bottom left (Text is rotated 90 deg).. They also run on 3.3v not 5V as stated on AliExpress (although that could simply be a typo).
The real question is, if they are fake, what are they? Fake could mean a number of things.. It could be an EC CPU rebranded as an RC part or it could even be a 040 rebranded as a 060 (same pin layout)..
If I'd had to bet, Id say these are rebranded EC parts as those were fairly plentyful back in the 68k Mac days...

060's dont have the same pin layout as 040's bud:)

i have bought 060's from china and they were fine as advertised...but,if it looks dodgy it normally is:D

Well, lets not nitpick here, 060 is pin *compatible* with 040 ;-)
Anyhoo, I still hold on to my claim that most fake 060s are re-branded EC or LC parts sold as RC but technically they are still 060s.
If someone is brave (or foolish, pick one) to order, please continue to share your info here :-)
